The weather has been glorious over the last few days. Summer has come late to the farm. Our big excitement was the birth of a late calf. Nomally they are born in the spring time but this cow had a late summer calf. Here is a picture of the cow just after having given birth. It is incredible to see the way she immediately started licking and cleaning the calf.
Half an hour later the calf was on his legs and jumping around the pen.
